SOLO Curator Announcement | Céline Seror

Céline Seror is an independent consultant and curator. In 2013, she co-founded the art agency Artness, advocating a transcultural vision of contemporary art. That same year, she worked on the conception and launch of IAM – Intense Art Magazine, the first publication dedicated to women in art from Africa. In 2018, she co-created the print and digital platform The Art Momentum. Over the past decade, she has been dedicated to spotlighting new voices and narratives through various publications and artistic projects. Since 2021, she has served as co-curator of the traveling exhibition Memoria: accounts of another History, which was showcased at the Frac Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA (Bordeaux, 2021); the Adama Toungara Museum of Contemporary Cultures (Abidjan, 2022); the National Museum of Cameroon (Yaounde, 2023); and the Fondation H (Antananarivo, 2024).

 

Céline Seror's art agency, Artness (co-founded by Nadine Hounkpatin), hosted Investec Cape Town Art Fair's Art Speed Dating event. Launched during the 10th edition of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair with its second iteration taking place in 2024, Art Speed Dating allows participants from different areas of specialisation—including the visual arts, media, cultural heritage and institutions, and other creative professions—to engage with one another across disciplines, creating a network of opportunity within the creative field. The event creates educational opportunities, with invitations extended to students to build meaningful connections with professionals in the industries they are interested in.
