Investec Cape Town Art Fair

Investec Cape Town Art Fair is thrilled to announce its very first digital event and online viewing rooms taking place from 17-19 September 2021 (Preview days 15-16 September by invitation only). Running in parallel with our sister fair in Milan; miart international modern and contemporary art fair, this event provides a unique opportunity where VIPs, galleries, and visitors will have access to a much broader audience across two continents and two fairs.

With the emergence of the pandemic, digital environments everywhere have seen increased relevance. Digital transformation has become a necessity in order to evolve, create opportunities and engage through various platforms. We would like to show our commitment to providing the best service to our galleries, VIPs, and visitors. This first digital edition provides the opportunity to galvanise support for and put to the forefront, our South African artists, whilst connecting with international galleries, businesses, and creatives

We look forward to welcoming you to our 2021 digital event in September and again at the start of 2022, to our hybrid edition that will comprise of in-person and a digital event, running from 18-20 February 2022 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Investec Cape Town Art Fair is the largest art fair on the African continent, showing cutting edge contemporary art. The Fair provides a platform for galleries, collectors, curators and artists from around the globe to engage in cultural and economic exchange. We offer an intimate experience of one of the world’s most unique art capitals. Investec Cape Town Art Fair is where the fast-growing African art market and the international art world meet.

The allure of Investec Cape Town Art Fair is its content and its placement on the African continent. With the advent of its 9th edition, the market will prove that art fairs are a sustainable economic model for trade in contemporary art.

The city's geography is an integral part of Investec Cape Town Art Fair’s success. Cape Town is a vibrant cultural hub, attracting international collectors with the novelty of diverse, cutting edge art and a favourable exchange rate.

With each year, the fair has gained considerable momentum that has generated respect and prestige for the city of Cape Town as a major contemporary art destination. This is an exciting moment for art, not just in South Africa but globally, as we seek to expand the impact and importance of Investec Cape Town Art Fair.
